Tintern Grammar Friends of Music Jazz Night 2025
Event description
Tintern Grammar Friends of Music
22nd Annual Jazz Night – Jazz Sing and Swing
Step back in time and experience the electrifying spirit of the 1940s at Jazz Sing and Swing, Tintern Grammar’s Annual Jazz Night! Hosted by Friends of Music, this unforgettable evening will take place on Saturday 6 September 2025, transforming the CM Wood Centre into a swinging dance hall brimming with live music, vintage glamour, and community celebration.
Be captivated by performances from our talented student jazz ensembles and special guests, the acclaimed Paul Williamson Jazz Band, headlining the night with their signature swingin’ sound. Whether you're tapping your toes or dancing the jitterbug, it's a night not to be missed!
Gather your friends, don your best 1940s swing-inspired attire - think pinstripe baggie trousers, braces , fedoras, victory curls, swing dresses, and red lipstick - and join over 300 members of our Tintern community for a great night of music, dancing, and fun. Dressing up is encouraged but absolutely optional.
Funds raised will support Tintern Grammar’s Music Program, helping to provide instruments, equipment, and rich learning opportunities for our student musicians.
BYO non-alcoholic drinks and nibbles (tea and coffee provided).
Please bring your own reusable cups, glasses, and plates.
Note: This is strictly an alcohol-free event.
