Tiny Teach Term 2, 2025
Event description
Tiny Teach, with the support of Denman Village Community Centre and Communities at Work run play based education classes for 0-3 year olds. Organised activities are developmentally appropriate, run by teachers. All classes encourage parents to be actively involved and connect with their child, as well as ask questions and engage with organisers and other attendees.
Classes are held on Thursdays and Fridays at:
- 9:15am - 10:15am (recommended 0-1 year olds)
- 11am - 12pm (recommended 1 year olds+)
Please attend the time that suits you and your schedule. Some families have asked to be with similar aged children for bonding experiences. The above is just a guide; the classes run the same and the teacher will support each stage of development.
Classes focus on exposure to different sensory and creative experiences through textures, sounds, smells and colours. There are opportunities to encourage language development through songs and music. Movement activities include ways to support tummy time, crawling and cruising, running, walking, jumping, crossing the midline as well as fine motor, gross motor, hand and eye co-ordination. There are imaginative play opportunities to support creative thinking and language development and encourage social skills such as managing emotions, turn taking and following directions.
Tiny Teach aims to educate and empower families to encourage more open ended play at home. We share how to recreate activities at home, as well as the skills that are being focused on behind our activities.
We share play education on our social media: Instagram and Facebook
An adult will need to remain in the class with all children attending
