Event description
Join us for an evening of knowledge and fun at the 'Tipping the Scales' Quiz Night, a fundraising event organised by students of Torrens University's Bachelor of Business (Event Management) program, in collaboration with Aquaculture without Frontiers (AwF). This event aims to raise funds and awareness for AwF's projects, focusing on sustainable aquaculture development, poverty reduction, economic growth, and improved nutrition in disadvantaged communities.
The primary goal of this event is to generate funds to support AwF projects, specifically the provision of fishponds to communities in the South Pacific. These pond packages include materials to build a 100 square meter family pond and initial fish stocking. Each fishpond created will contribute to the development of aquaculture and small businesses, fostering positive change in the lives of disadvantaged communities.
What to Expect:
- Trivia Fun: Your ticket includes two hours of entertaining trivia with multiple choice rounds such as 'The Codfather,' 'It’s All About the Bass,' 'It’s Not a Tuna aquaculture knowledge,' and 'Book, Line, and Sinker,'.' Test your wits and compete for exciting prizes!
- Games: Participate in engaging games, including 'Guess the Number of Fish' and 'Fish Heads or Fish Tails.' Win fabulous prizes while enjoying a night of interactive entertainment.
