Description

Two clowns set out to go fishing and soon find themselves in a predicament: They have reeled the moon down to earth, and now they must put it back! Our two naive clowns make best use of their circus skills, their wit, a dash of salt, some cheese, a sock or two, and a little help from some friends to put the moon back where it belongs. To the Moon and Back is a fun show for all-ages, jam packed with juggling, acrobatics, comedy, and even a rocket ship!

About Joy & Aaron

Joy and Aaron have been dabbling in the arts of clown, juggling, and acrobatics for more than twenty years.

Joy Powers began clowning at a young age with Circus Smirkus, and has since gone on to tour the country with Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus, Cirque Us, and Hideaway Circus. She co-created and starred in the Piccolini Trio’s "Circus in a Trunk," and Theater in the Open’s "Petrushka and the Caterpillar." She is also a healthcare clown year-round with the Laughter League, serving Boston Children’s and Hasbro Children’s hospitals.

Aaron Dewitt, having grown up in a small town surrounded by many talented performers, developed his juggling skills which would lead him also to join Circus Smirkus, and later onto Quebec, Canada where he would study circus professionally. Aaron has performed and toured the world with contemporary circus companies such as Cirque Eloize, Les 7 Doigts de la main, Theatre a Tempo, and many more.

Joy and Aaron joined forces in 2022, and continue to combine and develop their skills to create several original circus acts and full-length shows that will have you laughing, clapping, and pleasantly impressed.

To the Moon and Back is funded in part by the New England States Touring program of the New England Foundation for the Arts, made possible with funding from the National Endowment for the Arts and the six New England state arts agencies.
