Join us for nine weeks of playful discovery run by an experienced early years teacher and guided by research. Toddler Takeover is a weekly outdoor session designed to nurture your little one’s curiosity, creativity, and confidence through stories, movement, and hands-on experiences in a beautiful garden setting. It is also designed for parents to chat and connect while your children play.
Expect a gentle rhythm to the morning, with plenty of space for toddlers to explore at their own pace. Don't stress if running late or if you need to leave early for nap time.
Sessions include:
Playful story time and songs
Craft using natural and recycled materials
Guided nature walks along the boardwalk and through the gardens, to look at trees and listen to birds
Open-ended sensory play
Obstacle courses and movement
A relaxed space to connect with other families
Time to explore the current art exhibition
What to bring:
Clothes that can get messy
Gumboots and rain jackets if needed.
A change of clothes
Water bottle (there is a kitchen to refill or cups if you forget!)
A picnic rug and a lunchbox if you'd like to stay and enjoy lunch in the gardens after the session (you are welcome to stay until 11:30).
