Made in the midst of an ongoing pandemic, Together Alone is as much a showcase of the resiliency and creativity of the Studio ARTES community as it is of our artists’ creative talents. From the beginning, this show was conceived as a way to bring our members and staff together at a time when so many of us were isolated from each other. Now, over two years in the making, Together Alone stands as large-scale, cross-disciplinary installation showcasing performance, interactive work, soundscape, video and traditional artistic media, in a format that better highlights the diverse practices of our artists and the collaborative way we work at the Studio. Throughout its creation, we have been reflecting on the important role our artistic practices play in maintaining our connection to places, communities and each other in a time of increased alienation and necessary separateness. We hope that you can take this immersive experience as a chance to recognise and celebrate all we have collectively endured these past few years.

Peruse the instillation at your own pace, catching performances, interactions, and experiences as you navigate the space. Each session is open for an hour and a half, for you to come and go as you please.
