Event description

Together, Yes (The Voice Referendum)

Online Information Session for social enterprise ally conversations

Friday 21 April at 1pm - 2.15pm

Are you ready to hold a conversation about The Voice referendum?

How do we create safe and brave spaces at home and at work?

This online information session will introduce the "Together, Yes" campaign and give allies confidence to host or participate in conversations about the Voice referendum.

You can play an effective and valuable role in the campaign to secure a First Nations’ Voice to parliament.

What is Together, Yes?

Together, Yes is a first-ever nationwide conversation process to inform and empower friends, family, workmates and neighbours on the defining issue of our time. Kitchen Table Conversations are a tried and tested approach used by the Victorian Women’s Trust for the past 20 years. They prove to be a rewarding experience for everyone involved.

In this community information session, we’ll cover:

  • The national campaign structure
  • More about Together, Yes: the process, team and timeframes
  • The pivotal role conversation hosts play; and the support we provide
  • How you can join this campaign

The session will finish with a short Q&A. Auslan interpreters will be present.

I don't want to host, what else can I do?

SENVIC will host online conversations in May and June to provide the social enterprise community with safe spaces to discuss the referendum, and to provide tools and strategies for safe and brave discussions in your workplaces and communities.

Why is SENVIC partnering with 'Together, Yes'?

SENVIC's vision is to create a just, inclusive and sustainable society through a thriving social enterprise community.

This program will enable social enterprise to demonstrate leadership and innovation at this historic moment in our nation's story.

Though participatory, values-driven conversations like these forums, we build positive relationships and social capital that support a thriving social enterprise community.
