Toi Community Open Day
Event description
Toi Community Open Day
Roll up, roll up!
You’re invited to check out the progress at Toi, our well-underway project at Carrington Road. Usually, we reserve open days to when a project is almost done and dusted - but Maungārongo is such a cool site (we absolutely love visiting the team out there). How often do you get to see how the magic happens?
There will be tours across the site, with a handful of completed apartments to peruse, and a wander through building to the top floor for epic views across the city, Waitematā Harbour and the Waitākere Ranges. You’ll be able to chat with our construction crew, our design team, and of course, us! As with all our big days out, there will be coffee and treats to give you some energy for, most of all, the stairs.
The Important Stuff
Date: Sunday 16 March 2025
Time: 10am – 1pm
Address: Toi – 1 Carrington Road (the former Unitec site)
Access: Via Gate One off Carrington Rd, next to the old brick hospital
Parking: Onsite, you will be guided on the day
SHOES: Yes, you read that correct! Please wear closed toe, flat shoes: no sandals, jandals, heels (or Crocs!). Strictly no access will be granted otherwise, this is a safety requirement.
As Toi is a construction site, we can’t have too many people there at a time, so you’ll need to book into an hour-long session. There are limited numbers for each hour so get in quick and register for your free ticket. For all your safety needs (and our requirements) we’ll lend you a high-vis vest on the day, and please wear closed toe shoes: no sandals, jandals or heels.
PLEASE NOTE: As Toi is still an active building site, the lift is not in operation, access is limited and won't be suitable for push-chairs, wheelchairs or those with mobility issues - we apologise profusely if this rules you out.
