Ts&Cs
1. You, [the Competitor] may submit up to 3 poems to the Tom Collins Poetry Prize. Each entry must have a separate entry form and submission fee.
2. There is a maximum of 60 lines per poem.
3. Poems must be typed in a standard 3 cm margin, a serif font like Times New Roman, and a double-space between stanzas and a single-space between lines.
4. All competitors work must be previously unpublished. Work broadcast, or published online in any way shall be considered, for the purpose of the Tom Collins Poetry Prize Competition, to have been previously published, and cannot be submitted.
5. Competitors retain copyright in their entries, however agree that The Fellowship of Australian Writers WA (FAWWA) is granted the non-exclusive and non-commercial right to publish the winning, second and third place entries on its website for a term of 1 year (commencing from the winners' announcement date) for the purpose of promoting the Tom Collins Poetry Prize.
6. We, [FAWWA] will always credit you, the author of the work when reproducing the work and will not make any changes to the work without first seeking your prior written consent.
7. Manuscripts submitted to the competition will be destroyed after the competition.
8. This competition is judged blind. Each poem must have a separate entry form completed online and your name should not appear anywhere on the poem itself.
9. Where duplicate entries are submitted, only the first entry received will be considered valid.
10. The judge’s decision is final. Competitors must not communicate with the judge before or during the competition.
11. The judge’s report, and the results of the competition will be published on the FAWWA website.
Note: It is the competitor’s responsibility to ensure entries comply with all the terms and conditions of entry. If any entry is excluded due to non-compliance of these terms and conditions, the competitor will not be notified nor will the entry fee be refunded.
