    Event description

Join us to experience Tomaree's bush at night

Celebrating 40 years of Tomaree National Park

Explore the park by night, the sounds and smells create a different experience as we walk slowly and carefully. Maybe we’ll spot the occasional night critters as well.

Each weekend there'll be a walk at each of Shoal Bay and Anna Bay.

    Family friendly

    • Friday 6 September - Anna Bay vicinity
    • Saturday 7 September - Shoal Bay vicinity
    • Friday 13 September - Shoal Bay vicinity
    • Saturday 14 September - Anna Bay vicinity

Please book for ONE DATE ONLY.

If any date appears as booked out, please WAITLIST as cancellations sometimes occur.

Each is a slow walk, over variable terrain, so care is needed at night.

    The walk is 1.5 - 2 hrs, 2-3 km, Grade 3.

All participants are required to wear closed in shoes.

Please bring low light torches only to see the ground -- not to use find animals on the evening.

BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL: Numbers are limited. Each participant needs to book individually, apologies for that inconvenience.

PLEASE BOOK FOR ONLY ONE WALK - not different dates or locations.

Participants will be advised of the meeting place and exact time a few days before the walk dates.

National Parks Association (Hunter Region) is leading the walks, through its local groups the Friends of Tomaree National Park and the Port Stephens Bushwalking Group, in Celebrating 40 years of Tomaree National Park.

We live, meet and work on the lands of the Worimi People. We pay respect to Elders, past, present and future, and acknowledge the pivotal role of First Nations People within the Australian community.
