    Event description

Enjoy a short early spring wildflower walk in Tomaree National Park

Celebrating 40 years of Tomaree National Park

Tomaree boasts a wonderland of winter and early spring wildflowers, especially along its sandy heathy woodlands.

Experience the colourful buds and blooms of the pink wax flower, a favourite for bees. Delight in the variety of yellow and red peas, the yellow drumsticks or an orchid or two.

    • Saturday 7 September 9.00am
    • Saturday 7 September 1.00pm
    • Tuesday 10 September 10.00am (please register on wait list for cancellation)
    • Tuesday 10 September 1.00pm

Each walk is a slow and easy circuit on gently undulating sandy tracks, shade is variable.

The walk is about 2-2.5hrs, over 2.6 km, Grade 2.

BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL: Numbers are limited for each walk as some tracks are narrow. Each participant needs to book individually, apologies for any inconvenience.

Participants will be advised of the meeting place and what to bring closer to the walk dates.
The walk most likely is in the Fingal area.

National Parks Association (Hunter Region) is leading the walks, through its local groups the Friends of Tomaree National Park and the Port Stephens Bushwalking Group, in Celebration of 40 years of Tomaree National Park.

We live, meet and work on the lands of the Worimi People. We pay respect to Elders, past, present and future, and acknowledge the pivotal role of First Nations People within the Australian community.
