Tomato Passata - The Food Tool Library
Event description
Cobargo Community Passata Day – supported by the Mumbulla Community Foundation
The Food Tool Library invites you to join in a Passata Day to share skills on how to process your tomato crop into bottled passata to enjoy year-round. Bring along your tomatoes and any spare passata bottles, learn how to use the Food Tool Library equipment and work alongside your community to process delicious tomatoes.
Tuesday 11 February 2025
10am-1pm
Cobargo School of Arts Hall
Suggested donation $10
Let us know when registering if you have tomatoes to bring (rough idea of kgs) or any passata bottles. We will have new lids available to fit most jar sizes.
Tomatoes will be weighed in at the start so you take home roughly the amount of passata that your tomatoes make.
Even if you don’t have any tomatoes or bottles and you would still like to join you are more than welcome. Bring a yummy treat to share for morning tea!
Bring along any big saucepans, big bowls or big plastic foodsafe containers to help the day run smoothly.
You don’t have to be a Triangle Tool Library member to attend (but we hope you might be afterwards!).
Thanks,
The Food Tool Library crew
