Tommaso Girotto Classical Guitarist

Tommaso Girotto is a young Australian guitarist who has dedicated himself to his passion for music. Braidwood Concert Series met him in 2021 performing with FONIX and he absolutely wowed the audience with his solo performance.
He began his studies in Sydney receiving a scholarship to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under the tuition of Vladimir Gorbach. He later received a scholarship to study with Allan Neave and Ian Watt at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland — receiving First Class Honours. In 2024, Tommaso completed a Master of Music at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz - Köln under Goran Krivokapić.
Tommaso has won various competitions within Australia, including the Sydney Eisteddfod, and has competed in the finals of international guitar competitions, including the Festival Internacional de Guitarra “Ciudad de Coria”, Istanbul Classical Guitar Competition and the Adelaide International Classical Guitar Competition (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024). He received 3rd prize in both the Adelaide International Classical Guitar Competition (2023) and the Festival Internacional de Guitarra “Ciudad de Coria” (2024).
He has performed as a soloist in the Sydney Opera House and various award ceremonies. Tommaso enjoys collaborating with other musicians and has toured New South Wales, Australia in 2021 with a small ensemble of flute, cello and guitar. He also had the opportunity to work with Émilie Fend — performing Joaquín Rodrigo’s Concierto Madrigal in Italy and Germany. Get in quickly and see him while you still can!
