Toohey Forest Community Butterfly Survey

Brisbane’s Big Butterfly Count and OCCA invite you to a family-friendly butterfly survey walk at Toohey Forest with local enthusiast, Annette Dexter.
Join us for a relaxed two-hour walk as we explore Toohey Forest, catch butterflies, and learn about the fascinating species that call our local area home. This event is open to all ages and experience levels - everyone is welcome!
Please keep an eye on your email and our social media pages for any last-minute cancellations due to cloudy weather (Butterflies are not active when it is overcast).
Time: Meet at 1:45 pm for 2 pm departure. We will return around 4 pm.
Where to meet: Please meet at the Yarning Circle. It is accessible from the Ring Road, Griffith University, Nathan Campus (https://maps.app.goo.gl/vcztLZVwV8JCYeNU7).
Where to park: Street parking is available on Ring Rd, near the entrance to the Yarning Circle track.
What to bring: Please wear sun smart clothing and bring a water bottle. We have nets to borrow during the walk.
