Tool Sharpening at the Urban Farm
Event description
Want to learn a new empowering skill? Do you have a few dull garden tools hiding away in your shed? If you've just answered yes to either of those, then come along to the Urban Farm in Maroochydore for a morning of sharing and sharpening. Every single participant that comes to a workshop is always a bit bashful about how rusty and unloved their tools are. So you're not alone! And you're going to be amazed at how quickly and safely you can get them shiny and sparkling again. Join me and a few other women (max 5) at the inspiring Urban Farm in the heart of Maroochydore. Included is a farm tour and morning tea. Walk away with the confidence to sharpen your garden tools and save yourself tons of money too! No more having to spend over $10 to have someone sharpen your secateurs. No more having to replace your shears every time they're dull.Â
A few of the tools we will look at are secateurs, loppers, hedgers, spades and axes. Whether you're just getting into gardening and your tools are still shiny and new. Having sharp and well cared for tools will make your life SO much easier and your gardening experience a dream. Not to mention will increase the life of those $100 secateurs you just got for Christmas!
All material provided. Please wear closed-toe shoes and pants/skirt that covers your thighs as we hold some of the tools against our legs as we sharpen. You will have the opportunity to sharpen a few of your own tools after the demonstration. No tool is too rusty!Â
