Speaking the Same Language: A Crosswalk of AT and IT for Enhanced District Technology Planning

Join Janet Peters in this presentation of her session featured at Knowbility's K12 Access Summit. This session will be a crosswalk to help participants understand performance indicators for technology programs, discuss the pros and cons of AT being considered part of an IT department, and explore some options for moving toward a more integrated technology system. 

Participants will be able to :

• evaluate potential methods to more fully integrate assistive technology into a school’s general technology footprint.
• identify key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of integrating assistive technologies.
• demonstrate ways in which to more effectively utilize the accessibility tools in core software for the benefit of students.
