Tools for Transition – Continuing Momentum is a series of practical, online sessions designed to help you build on ideas and opportunities emerging in your community, strengthen your networks and develop the skills and mindset needed to turn possibility into action.

Whether you’ve participated in one of ACRE’s Lead a New Future for Your Community workshops or are simply interested in contributing to a vibrant future for your community, you’re welcome to join us.

What will we explore?

Across three interactive webinars, we’ll explore some of the building blocks that can help communities create and sustain positive change:

Getting underway – collaborating for action
Explore practical ways to bring people together, build momentum and move from conversation towards action.

Mindset for growth – building a coalition of the willing
Consider the leadership mindset needed to create change, engage others and build a group of people willing to contribute their energy, ideas and skills.

Here for the long haul – creating sustainable local opportunities
Explore enterprise models and approaches that can support community initiatives and contribute to the longer-term transition and resilience of local economies.

What can you expect?

Each 60-minute online session will combine:

• Insights and practical experience from a special guest

• Open Q&A and conversation

• Opportunities to connect ideas with what is happening in your own community

• Guided reflection using practical ACRE tools and resources

• Ideas and next steps you can take back into your community

The sessions are designed to be practical, conversational and relevant to the opportunities and challenges facing rural communities.

These webinars are complemented by ACRE’s virtual Open Door mentoring and coaching sessions, providing another opportunity to bring your questions, ideas, challenges or emerging opportunities and learn alongside others working to create change in their communities.

Together, the webinar and Open Door sessions provide space to connect, learn, collaborate and keep moving forward.

Who can attend?

These sessions are open to people who have participated in ACRE’s Lead a New Future for Your Community workshop series, as well as other community members interested in community-led action and rural rejuvenation.

You don’t need to have attended previous workshops to participate.
