Event description

Tools of Choice (ToC) is a FREE, evidence-based training for parents and caregivers divided into four components:

1. About Behavior and Avoid Coercion

2. Stay Close

3. Use Positive Consequences and Pivot

4. Set Expectations

(Learn more about the practices on our website: https://dmh.mo.gov/dev-disabilities/tools-of-choice)

Each skill is broken down into measurable, observable steps. Each step is taught through lecture, demonstration, and then practiced by participants. This competency focused training model provides participants feedback on their skill development and increases implementation accuracy.

(Learn more about increasing your skill implementation success on our Coaching and Maintenance website: https://dmh.mo.gov/media/pdf/coaching-and-maintenance)
