Teaching on the Run (TOTR) Program for Doctors in Training - Online
Event description
This 1-day TOTR program is open to doctors in training from all Australian states and territories.
The Teaching on the Run (TOTR) program is a staff development package that includes 3 foundation workshops (listed below) for improving the skills of junior health professionals involved in clinical teaching, supervision and assessment.
Workshop 1 - Clinical Teaching provides a framework for planning and delivery of workplace-based teaching activities.
Workshop 2 - Skills Teaching examines the four-step approach to teaching skills and provides participants with the opportunity to practice using it.
Workshop 3 - Assessment Fundamentals explores formative and summative assessment and discusses building competence and capability.
Format
The program is delivered in a blended learning format and requires online preparation (approx. ¾-1 hour) and online or face-to-face workshop (1.5 hours).
Certification
A certificate of completion will be provided to participants who attend and complete all components of the program.

A minimum of 10 participants is required for the program to be delivered. The program may be rescheduled if this number is not reached.
