Touch Collective Online Workshop #1
Event description
Sunday 29th June
⏰️ 1pm - 3pm AEST (Melbourne)
📍Online - Link will be sent out!
This workshop will introduce you to the basics of TouchDesigner, a visual programming environment used for creating real-time graphics. The session will cover fundamental concepts including the node-based interface, working with CHOPs (channels), TOPs (textures), and simple parameter linking.
Participants will learn how to build a basic generative visual system and connect it to live or pre-recorded audio to explore audio-reactive behaviours. The goal is to develop an understanding of how data flows through a TouchDesigner network and how visuals can be driven by sound and user input.
No prior experience is required. The workshop is designed for beginners with an interest in creative technology, digital art, or live visuals. By the end of the session, attendees will have a working TouchDesigner patch and a foundation for further exploration.
Please bring a laptop with TouchDesigner installed (non-commercial version is free). Headphones are recommended.
