Tour of The Lake House

Southport QLD, Australia
Description
What if the answer to a bigger home isn't a bigger home?
Like most Australian houses, Lake House started life as a project home. Many homes like this are demolished and replaced, but this renovation keeps the original house and reconnects it to the back garden with a new outdoor room. Small changes to the layout and new windows that frame the views make it feel far more spacious, without adding a single square metre.
Take a tour and see how rethinking what's already there can make a big difference to how a home feels and works, and to its environmental footprint.
