Tour Meg and Graham's Garden at Matcham
Event description
PCC President, Meg McGowan, and treasurer, Graham King, live on three and a half acres at Matcham that has been under permaculture for over 25 years.
Lockdown has given us a great opportunity to get all kinds of new things happening in our garden. With restrictions easing, we thought it would be a good time for a tour, particularly for some of our newer members.
We've recently added some raised "cup cake" beds and an espaliered orchard and food garden.
We have an extensive forest garden, keyhole zone one gardens and lots of examples of hugelkultur and water management. There's even a composting loo!
Please make sure you include a correct email for everyone who registers. Our address will be sent out to everyone the day before the event. Light rain won't stop us but if we do need to cancel we will also advise you via your email.
There is no charge for the tour, but you do need to be a member of Permaculture Central Coast for insurance reasons. If you're not a member you can join here for just $20 a year ($30 for families):

Projects include providing free permaculture education to refugees, young people and women supporting permaculture teachers and students living in vulnerable communities. You can read more about the foundation here: https://www.ethosfoundation.or...
COVID SAFETY: Graham and I are both fully vaccinated. Please check current government regulations in relation to your own circumstances. We will not be asking people for personal medical information. If you have symptoms on the day, are awaiting test results or have been in close contact with someone then please stay home. We will be outside for the whole of the tour and will ask everyone to maintain social distancing. Masks are optional. Graham and I will not be masked during the tour so that you can hear us.
Children: We love kids, but find that this tour is a bit too wordy for most of them. If you bring children with you they will require close supervision.
