Event description
Have you wanted to leisurely sip mead in a beautiful setting while watching swordfighting? Now you can! This fall, join The Grand Traverse Historical Weapons Guild and St. Ambrose Cellars for a one-of-a-kind event that will bring together mead and ren faire vibes for the first-ever St. Ambrose Tournament in Beulah, Michigan! Spend the day enjoying all St. Ambrose has to offer in terms of delicious food and drink, all while watching swordfighters take to the ring in unscripted fights where you can cheer for your favorites. This will be an afternoon event full of Historical European Martial Arts, including longsword, sword & buckler, dagger, and more! You will be ringside for the action where a champion will be crowned! You’ll also be able to get your hands on a sword for a selfie at the weapons petting zoo or speak to the fighters throughout the day as they fight, demonstrate weapons, and toast to the victory of your favorite!
