About Your Panelists: 

Dr Mathilda Joubert is President of the Australian Council for Educational Leaders in Western Australia and Executive Principal at Sheridan Institute of Higher Education. Anexperienced teacher, education leader and advocate for innovation in education, she has
facilitated school improvement programs in more than 500 schools around the world. Mathilda has worked with Sir Ken Robinson to advise the UK government on how education can create a nation of innovators and has been advisor to the Australian, British, and
Lithuanian governments on education policy, including as expert advisor to ACARA. She has previously worked as international Innovation Consultant with businesses such as Coco-Cola in London, Diageo in the Netherlands, Philips in Belgium and Unilever in Argentina. Mathilda is a true lifelong learner with two bachelor’s and three master’s degrees (in music, languages, education, cognitive neuropsychology, and business) and a PhD in Education from UWA, focused on the assessment of student creative thinking skills.

David Drumond
is a dedicated technology teacher, leader and advocate for change in Education and beyond, David’s passions are around
greater equity of technology access for all, challenging gender disparity in STEM and technology fields, and empowering students to succeed by providing them with industry level tools and experiences during their K-12 education. As co-host of the Kaleidoscope Movement Podcast (CLCMedia), David seeks to highlight the changes happening in and around Education, raising the voices of key disrupters that are at the frontier of the future of the educational landscape. David believes that the transferable skills and capabilities that prepare young people for a future yet defined are critical to prioritise in our schools, future-proofing our learners and
enabling them to become the adaptable change agents of tomorrow.

Laura Bain
 is the Head of Future Learning and Academic Operations at Matthew Flinders Anglican College. She is QCA TeachX Finalist and has made The Educator Hot List 3 times. Her work with technology in education has seen her recognised as a Apple Distinguished Educator and Microsoft Innovative Educator Fellow. Laura is one of the Australian representatives of the WomenEd network and a member of the Association of Women Educators. She is passionate about educational technology and driving innovation in schools.

About Your Moderator:
Meagan is an experienced Senior Leader in Prep – Year 12 contexts. She is a strategic thinker and leader with a particular skillset in innovation and managing pedagogical change. Currently, Meagan is the Deputy Principal at Canterbury College where she oversees the quality and development of the holistic, all-around education offering at the College. She leads forward-thinking teaching and learning, co-curricular, service and leadership strategy and is the Chief of Staff. Meagan has a proven ability to develop and sustain productive relationships within the school community including tertiary providers, professional networks and the wider community. Meagan holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Sydney and a Master of Education (Gifted Education) from the University of New England. She is a published author and has extensive experience facilitating panels, podcasts and other engagements. Meagan is the co-founder and creator of the Future of Education Summit and is the East Coast facilitator for Ed Leaders. Meagan was on the 2022 Educators Hot List for her work in leading large scale innovation projects. She has had extensive experience teaching and working in independent school settings across Australia. Meagan has held leadership positions including Head of Faculty (Inclusive Learning), Director of Teaching, Learning and Academic Performance, Director of Innovation and she now serves her community as Deputy Principal.
