TOWER HAMLETS - Open Creative Woodworking Session @ Victoria Park Outdoor Classroom

Event description

Come along to the Woodshop of Recycled Delights' Open Supported Workshop to create and repair with reclaimed timber!

NOTE: This workshop is open to TOWER HAMLETS RESIDENTS who have previously attended an Introductory Session or who are experienced in woodworking.

Our Intro Sessions will get you started on your woodworking journey, so if you haven't yet attended one of these check our event page for the next session and sign up there!

We're passionate about supporting people to make whatever they want out of reclaimed material, and the possibilities are truly endless.

Suitable for ages 16+, our session will begin with an introductory tool talk for those who'd like it, and then you can crack on with making the project of your dreams or repairing your wooden items.

We take a co-learning approach, so whilst our facilitators have a little experience, they are not experts. Together we can work out how to make or fix things using reclaimed materials.

See more examples of what we do on our instagram page

The Victoria Park Outdoor Classroom is an outdoor space, so bring weather-appropriate clothing and wear sensible footwear. See you there!

These sessions are free, but we charge a refundable £5 deposit to make sure people turn up.

If money is a barrier to you, please don't let this get in the way. Everyone is welcome to our sessions no matter what they can afford, and if even the refundable deposit is tricky, do get in touch and we can waive it.

These workshops are a part of the Tower Hamlets Carbon Reduction Community Grants Programme
