Tower Hill Ramble - Grade 3 (Easy/medium)
Event description
The Warrnambool Bushwalking Club invites you to join them on a Tower Hill Ramble. This walk is part of the Try Bushwalking Month, celebrating the 90th Anniversary of Bushwalking Victoria, the peak body representing 60+ bushwalking clubs across Victoria.
Discover amazing scenery and wildlife at one of Victoria's most fascinating and significant geological formations, around the Tower Hill Scenic Reserve.
DISTANCE: 8 km
WHO IS THIS WALK FOR? This walk is suitable for beginners and more experienced walkers with a moderate level of fitness.
CHILDREN AND PETS: This walk is for adults 18 years and over, and due to the nature of the walk, we ask you to leave dogs and other pets at home. Please contact the club directly to inquire about service animals, and any family or pet friendly walks.
AWT GRADE 3 (Easy/Medium): AWT Grade information.
PACE: We will be walking at a slow steady pace leaving plenty of time to take photos and admire the scenery.
TOTAL ASCENT: 260m with a couple of 60m climbs.
WALK DESCRIPTION:
This walk is mostly on well maintained tracks with stops along the way to take photos, etc.
MEETING POINT: We will meet at 9.45 am outside the Information Centre in the Tower Hill picnic area - look out for the Warrnambool Bushwalkers banner.
DIRECTIONS: Tower Hill is located 18 km west of Warrnambool and can be accessed from the Princes Highway. Co-ordinates: -38.318659, 142.362429
