Session 1: Foundations for Community Involvement
(Monday 18th November, 7pm – 9pm)
This workshop is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to the roles, responsibilities, and opportunities available to you. Discover why fresh perspectives are vital to these groups, learn about your collective "why," and explore the strengths-based approach to individual roles.
We’ll cover essential topics like good governance, navigating conflict within groups, and the importance of maintaining group morale. This session is perfect for anyone looking to deepen their understanding and impact within their community.
Mentoring: Participating groups will also have access to mentoring with Mary, ensuring your group can maximise its use and integration of the workshop learnings. Mentoring hours are limited per group, and can be utilised in the way that best meets your needs – this could be reviewing or developing a succession plan, or diving into the details of your constitution.
Funded by the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal in partnership with HMSTrust and the Sidney Myer Fund.
