Welcome to the Tintern Parent Group (TPG)’s First Annual "Barefoot Bowls" Social Night!

Spring is coming! Warmer nights and daylight savings are just around the corner. This is TPG's major Parent Social Event for 2026...

Come and join us for a relaxed, retro-themed night at the local Bowls Club for some social fun with other Tintern parents, friends and staff. 

We have a fabulous evening planned for you, featuring:

• Our 1st Annual "Barefoot Bowls Classic" Tournament - free entry into the tournament for every ticketholder who is keen!

• Professionally catered 2-course dinner with spit-roast & dessert table (vegetarian/dietary options catered by prior request) - included in ticket price

• Drinks at Bar prices (venue staff will operate the bar throughout the night)

• Popcorn will be available for purchase – courtesy of our brand-new Tintern Popcorn Machine (recently donated to Tintern by TPG!)

• A range of fun indoor Games and Prizes

• Raffle with Gourmet Hampers to win!

• Major Prizes for the winners of our Lucky Numbers competition

YES! We are going to be stirring up some friendly rivalry... so come ready to test your skills on the Bowling Green!

Bowling Teams/Gameplay:

• Teams will made up of approximately 4 to 6 people

• Team Signup sheets will be circulated in the week prior (once numbers are finalised)

• The Bowls Club will provide a professional Lawn Bowls Coach/Supervisor to explain the rules and assist with gameplay on the evening

• The team with the highest score will take home the "2026 Barefoot Bowls Classic Trophy" and bragging rights for a whole year...

Fair warning though:

• Only one team can claim victory!

• Final play-offs for the Trophy may NOT actually occur on the green!!

• All decisions of the TPG are final

Dress Code:

• Come as you are in “Smart Casual”, or

• Maybe throw on some classic "Vintage Threads", or

• Better still... get your bowling green “Whites” on!

It’s all about coming together and having fun. Into the bargain, you will be supporting TPG’s fundraising efforts for the benefit of Tintern students and the wider school community.

When & Where:

Date:       Saturday, 17th October 2027

Time:      7.00pm – 11.00pm

Place:      Ringwood Bowls Club, 2-12 Loughnan Road, Ringwood

Carparking onsite and in surrounding streets. Consider carpooling!

On the night:

• This is a cashless event

• Drinks at bar prices (pay via Eftpos)

• Pre-purchase your Game Tokens via Humanitix when booking, or buy them via eftpos on the night

Game Tokens are used for fundraising games, raffle tickets, popcorn etc

Tickets:

• $55 per person – includes:

• 2 course spit-roast dinner and dessert table

• Free entry into the Barefoot Bowls Classic tournament (optional)

Add some game tokens to your ticket order, to save you lining up on the night!

Responsible drinking of alcohol:

• If choosing to drink alcohol on the night, please drink responsibly.

• For the safety of you and others, please do not drink and drive.

• This is an 18+ Adult-only event (not an event for current students or children)
