Teacher Professional Learning: Putting on a School Art Exhibition

Share your students’ creativity with your local community by staging a school art exhibition!
In this workshop, you will learn how to:
- Curate an exhibition based on a theme, idea or medium.
- Choose and make the best use of an exhibition space.
- Hang and display artworks without damaging them.
- Add additional ‘sparkle’ with professional-like wall labels and texts.
- Apply your new skills to exhibiting learning outcomes from other subjects.
This workshop will provide an engaging hands-on experience where you can connect with like-minded colleagues and to have your questions answered by professional curators and artists (to be announced) with real-world experience.
A certificate of professional learning will be provided. This professional learning workshop will support you in demonstrating the following AITSL Australian Professional Standards for Teacher: 2.1, 3.2, 4.1, 7.3
This workshop is delivered with the South Australian Living Artists Festival (SALA).
Bookings are essential.

This Carclew in Schools program is supported by the South Australian Government through the Department for Education. This event is generously subsided for Department for Education teachers.
Bookings are prioritised for teachers employed by the Department for Education and must be made with your Department for Education email address.
Places may be offered to Independent and Catholic Education teachers. To be on the waitlist, please book using your school email and select ‘Wait List: Independent/CESA Teachers’ ticket. We will be in touch if places become available.
