Trade Union Choir Film Fundraiser
Event description
TINA is a beautiful new film from Aotearoa NZ which has many reasons to be the next fundraiser for the Victorian Trade Union Choir.
It is a warm and thoughtful story of singing, togetherness, cultural diversity, elitism and privilege, courage, grief, joy, love and solidarity. Or as the Guardian puts it :
"the point is ..to present music as a soul-replenishing tonic, bridging people, cultures and socioeconomic circumstances."
If you are bringing young people, be aware there is infrequent use of mildly offensive language.
Bring your hanky, but you will leave with a smile.
Starting time will be about 6.30 and the exact time will be advised within a week prior to the film. The film runs for just over two hours.
