Trailblazers - Munda Biddi Trail Guided Ride

The Shire has partnered with Munda Biddi Trail Foundation and Bikewise to offer a come and try ride of the Munda Biddi Trail for families as a part of mountain bike month. This year the Shire is promoting the three core principles of Bike Month through an all ages all abilities event day. We have invited the Munda Bidi Trail Foundation, to deliver a guided ride starting at the Forrest Green reserve and through the Munda Bidi Trail! This event for everyone whether they are new to riding or well versed on our trails!

What to expect:

The trail you will be riding is a GREEN trail, meaning that there are low levels of elevation and is suitable for all ages and abilities. There will be two guides with your group to keep everyone together and safe when riding the trails.

Event details:

• Location - Forest Green Reserve - 20 Forest Ave, Jarrahdale (please ensure you go to the toilet beforehand as there are no toilets on site- there are public toilets located at Bruno Gianatti Hall 8 Munro Steet)
  
• Date - Saturday 12th of October 2024
• Time - 9AM registration and information session - come back around 11:30-12pm for some lunch and a smoothie bike!

Please note that children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult (including on the ride) and there is no bike hire available so you will need to bring your own bike and safety equipment. Bike Check Information is located on Page 9 of the MBTF Events Guide which will be sent out upon registering for the event. Please ensure ticket is purchased for all participants going on the ride. 

Trail Ready Requirements:

• Ensure your bike is checked (Air/Tyres/Chain/Brakes)
• Wear a well-fitted bike helmet
• Carry a water bottle or day pack with snacks
• Apply sunscreen
• Wear suitable clothing and closed-in shoes (no thongs or sandals)
• Inform the Ride Leader of any medical conditions
• Complete an MBTF Ride Waiver (available on-site)
• All children must be supervised by a riding parent/guardian (age 7+ preferred)
