2027 Train the Trainer | Organisation Expression of Interest

Bring First Nations Foundation’s Train the Trainer Program to your organisation in 2027!

First Nations Foundation (FNF) is inviting Expressions of Interest from organisations interested in a funded Train the Trainer program for their team in 2027. Our team will come to your organisation to train and equip your team to deliver our Financial Fitness program to mob and community.

Delivered in person or online, this two-day program equips participants with the knowledge, tools and confidence to deliver culturally safe financial education and support money conversations with Mob in their workplace and community.

Minimum participants: 15 for in-person delivery and 10 for online delivery. Submitting an EOI does not guarantee a training placement. FNF will review submissions and contact organisations about potential opportunities.

About the program

First Nations Foundation is an Aboriginal-led not-for-profit organisation, created for Mob, by Mob. The Train the Trainer program will equip your team to run Financial Fitness in community. Our Financial Fitness Program helps First Nations peoples build financial capability, money confidence and practical skills for their financial futures.

Participants become accredited Financial Fitness Mentors, learning to facilitate workshops and one-on-one money conversations, support budgeting and goal-setting, and encourage positive money habits.

Who should apply?

We welcome organisations in the not-for-profit, ACCOs, community services, education and related sectors that work directly alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This program is not suited to corporate organisations.

Organisations and nominated participants must:

  • Have established, day-to-day relationships with First Nations clients, students or communities.

  • Have the capacity to deliver financial wellbeing workshops and/or one-on-one money conversations.

  • Be available to complete the full two-day training, online or in person.

  • Commit to quarterly reporting, attendance data and feedback to FNF.

Participants do not need to identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander but must have meaningful relationships with the First Nations communities they support.

What does the training include?

The two-day training covers:

  • Cultural grounding and connection

  • FNF’s Culture and Money cultural competency training.

  • Financial Fitness program content and facilitation skills.

  • Practical group facilitation training.

  • Ongoing support and guidance from our deadly team.

Participants must complete the required pre-reading and online My Money Dream modules before training.

What will FNF provide?

Successful participants receive:

  • Access to FNF’s On Country Mentor resource portal and facilitation materials.

  • Pre-training resources and impact surveys.

  • A certificate of accreditation upon successful completion.

  • Ongoing coaching, guidance and access to updated resources, subject to accreditation requirements.

Ongoing commitments

Accredited Mentors and their organisations agree to:

  • Deliver at least two Financial Fitness workshops per calendar year.

  • Complete post-workshop surveys and reporting to measure program impact.

  • Share feedback and participate in ongoing support and reaccreditation.

  • Enter into an agreement with FNF to uphold program standards and acknowledge FNF’s ownership of all related program intellectual property.

Mentors must complete an online refresher at 12 months and attend in-person reaccreditation every two years to maintain accreditation and resource portal access.

Express your interest

If your organisation is already working alongside Mob and wants to strengthen financial wellbeing in your community, we would love to hear from you.

Submit your EOI to tell us about your organisation, team capacity and preferred training format for 2027. Our team will review submissions and be in touch regarding potential delivery opportunities.

The Financial Fitness Program provides financial education and capability-building tools, not individual financial advice.
