Trans Day of Remembrance: 'Doing the Work' as Workers
Event description
In this collaboration between Switchboard, Roses in the Ocean, the Support After Suicide Hub and StandBy Support After Suicide, you will hear from a panel of trans and gender diverse people about the significance of Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR), the intersection between TDOR and suicide prevention, the impact and reality of suicide bereavement for the trans community and the role of workers and services in understanding and supporting trans and gender diverse people.

Who should attend?
This event is for anyone who works with community members, especially those working in:
- suicide prevention,
- bereavement services,
- mental health or counselling,
- peer work,
- LGBTQIA+ services,
- healthcare, and,
- community services.

Peer Support
StandBy Support After Suicide will be providing peer support during and after the session for anyone who attends and needs more support or debriefing. The peer support person will be present during the session and will share their contact details in the Zoom
