Trans Family Picnic 2026: Celebrating Trans Parents & Kids!

To celebrate Trans Parents Day, Transgender Victoria and Transcend are hosting a Family Picnic! If you're a trans parent or family of a trans kid under 18, come along and celebrate!

Who is it for?

• Transgender, gender diverse, and non-binary parents and their children

• Families who have trans, gender diverse, and non-binary children under 18

What to expect:

• Social connection with other families and children.

• Picnic snacks and drinks provided. Feel free to bring your own as well.

• Transcend and TGV staff will facilitate some games and activities for young people.

• Bring your own picnic rugs and chairs.

• This is a drug-free, alcohol-free, and vape-free event.

• Rainbow Community Angels will be in attendance to spread joy and make families and young people feel safe and supported.

Location:

Exact location will be emailed to you a week before the event. It will be held in a public park in central Melbourne.

Bad Weather Plan:
If there is bad weather on the day, we have secured a venue just a short walk from the park. You will be notified by email if the location changes due to bad weather.

Delivered by:

This event is delivered by Transgender Victoria and Transcend.

Staff from both organisations will be there to support social connection.

You are responsible for your young people on the day.
