Trans Rage Room Fundraiser

About the Activity:

Looking for some catharsis to channel your anger? Ready to take down some metaphorical walls but literal cubicles? Join us in the Trans Rage Room! We have the perfect space for you to use physical movement as an outlet, and really get your emotions out while positively contributing to the expansion of service provision for trans and gender diverse communities.  

We’ve got 8 spaces for some folks who are ready to roll up their sleeves and channel their inner DIY warriors to help us remove eight freestanding (non-loadbearing) cubicles (approx. 1.3m tall). The best part? There's no rubbish removal involved! You can smash to your hearts' content, and stop whenever feels right for you.  

Participants will be armed with small (but mighty) chipping hammers in groups of two across forty-five minutes, and directed by our in-house shopfitter in line with our job safety assessment and risk management plan to ensure safe practice! All safety equipment is provided by TGV, however participants must wear close-toed shoes. 

Funds raised from the tickets go directly to supporting our growing Affirmation Station. This activity is open to TGD people and allies alike. If you're a transgender, gender diverse, or non-binary person and would like to participate in this activity but you can't afford the ticketed price, please reach out to us directly at peersupport@tgv.org.au. 🏳️‍⚧️ 

Safety Disclaimer: This activity is very physical and while every safety precaution will be taken, it may not be right for you. Participants must be at least 18 years old, and we do not recommend this activity for pregnant people. All safety equipment will be provided.

Accessibility: The venue is wheelchair accessible, however does not yet have an accessible toilet onsite. Given the nature of the event, all participants will be provided with P2 masks and required to wear them for the duration of the activity.
