City of Monash: Trans Social Club

Affirmation Station visits the City of Monash! 

Transgender Victoria is facilitating an Affirmation for All event in the City of Monash. This is part of a series of gender affirming events happening on this day.

This event is for transgender, gender diverse, and non-binary people age 18+ who live, work, study, and play in the City of Monash and surrounding areas.

Get ready to connect, laugh, and just be yourself at Transgender Victoria's Trans Social Club! This is your dedicated space to hang out with other transgender, gender diverse, and non-binary people in the City of Monash!

Our TGV team will be there to kick off different activities, spark conversations, and help you make some awesome new connections. There will be plenty of time for you to chat, play board games, or get creative with arts and crafts.

Who's it for?

• Transgender, gender diverse, and non-binary folks who live, work, study, and play in the City of Monash and surrounding areas

• Participants must be age 18+

• The group is neurodivergent, POC, and all-abilities friendly

What to expect:

• Facilitators will be there to guide the conversation and activities. 

• We will do a social activity at the start so everyone has a chance to meet people and settle in.

• The rest of the time is an opportunity to connect, play board games, do arts and crafts, or whatever you choose to do.

• If you're into board games - bring your favourite game to share with the group!

• We will have plenty of materials to craft with, otherwise feel free to bring your own.

• Light snacks are provided.

Accessibility & Safety:

Your comfort and safety are important to us.

• Mask-wearing is strongly encouraged, and we'll have spares if you need one.

• We offer fidget toys if you need some.

• Hand sanitiser is available.

The venue is accessible for people with disability and people with mobility issues.

Accessible parking is available close to the building entrance. There is a firm path leading from the parking area to the entrance. Everything is on one level, so there are no stairs or lifts to use.

An accessible toilet is available inside the building.

If you have specific access needs, please contact us beforehand so we can make it easier for you to attend.
