Trans Social Club: Youth Edition

This event is for transgender, gender diverse, and non-binary young people ages 12-17.

Transgender Victoria's Trans Social Club meets at the Affirmation Station (Brunswick East) and this school holidays, we are hosting a Youth Edition.

This event is designed for trans, gender diverse, and non-binary young people who want to connect with other TGD young people in a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment. Come have a chat, build social connections, and enjoy some games and activities!

What to expect: 

• The group will be facilitated by Britt (they/them) and Kai (he/him). They will be there to guide the conversation and activities. 

• We will do low-pressure social activities together in the first hour.

• The second hour is time to do your choice of activities - it will be a chance to connect, play board games, do arts & crafts, or just chill out.

Who is it for:

• Trans, gender diverse, and non-binary young people

• Participants must be ages 12-17

• The group is neurodivergent, POC, and all abilities friendly

**If you are ages 12-15, we will need consent from a parent/guardian.

When you register, you will need to provide an email address for your parent/guardian. We will then email the consent form to them, and it must be returned to us before the event. The consent form will say that you are attending a Transgender Victoria program. This is a one-time consent form that will cover you for all future TGV workshops and events.

Participants who are ages 16-17 do not need consent to attend.

Accessibility and Covid Safety:

• Mask wearing is strongly encourage. We will have some onsite if needed.

• We have several air purifiers.

• It is a well ventilated space and there is enough room to physically distance.

• The space is wheelchair accessible.

• There are fidget toys and a separate quiet/calm space for folks who need some downtime.
