Transfer Evaluation Bootcamp (Virtual)
Description
Most L&D teams measure the wrong things. We track completion rates and satisfaction scores, then struggle to answer the one question the business really cares about: what changed because of the training?
This bootcamp fixes that. Across two focused live online sessions, you'll learn a simple, repeatable four-step method to evaluate any training program from start to finish. You'll move from deciding what to measure, to building the right surveys, to reading the data, to presenting results that earn L&D a seat at the table. No academic detour, no 40-page frameworks. Just the practical steps you can apply to your very next program.
We keep the group small, so you get personal attention and real hands-on time. You'll bring one of your own programs and work on it throughout, including between the two sessions, so you leave with the first version of a real evaluation already underway.
The method works with any survey tool. You'll also get hands-on time in Trevato, the evaluation platform built by your hosts, so you can feel how fast the whole process becomes once the manual effort is stripped out.
What we'll cover: the four stages
Plan - Start with the end in mind. Pin down the behaviours and business impact that matter, so you know exactly what to measure and what to ignore.
Build - Design surveys that predict impact, not just satisfaction. The right questions, to the right people, at the right moments, for a compelling chain of evidence rather than a single one-off survey.
Analyze - Turn responses into decisions. Spot transfer barriers early, see what's working and what isn't, and act while you still can, instead of only proving impact after the fact.
Present - Tell a story your stakeholders remember. Tie the data back to the original business problem and present impact in language that convinces.
What you'll walk away with
A simple, tool-agnostic method you can reuse for every program
Hands-on practice on one of your own programs
Hands-on access to Trevato during the sessions
A follow-up Impact Café six weeks later to support you as you put it into practice
Format & Schedule
The bootcamp runs as two live, interactive online sessions. Theory is kept light. Roughly half of each session is hands-on practice on your own program, and you'll apply what you learn between the two dates.
Session 1, 20 October 2026, 09:30–12:00 (Berlin time): Plan & Build. Define what matters, then design surveys that predict impact.
Session 2, 27 October 2026, 09:30–12:00 (Berlin time): Analyze & Present. Turn your data into decisions and present it convincingly.
Impact Café, early December 2026 (date to follow): A relaxed group check-in to see how it's working in the real world and troubleshoot together.
Calendar invites with your local timing will be sent after registration.
Hosted by Trevato and the Institute for Transfer Effectiveness.
