About this Event

Alzheimer’s WA supported by WA Country Health Service are facilitating free online workshops addressing dementia-enabling design in residential aged care.

Empower staff to identify ways to enhance the indoor and outdoor environment in your service to support quality of life, independence and joy for people living with dementia.

In this workshop learn:

  • How dementia and the environment interact
  • Understanding and applying the 10 dementia enabling design principles
  • Basic design considerations such as way-finding, colour and lighting
  • Identify environmental audit tools and assessments

To access this online workshop you will need to have access to Zoom video, which is a free application available for download.

Registration is essential to ensure you are sent details for logging in to the workshop.
