The panel is focusing on the Cyber innovation Ecosystem in Victoria and aims to explore the impact of the Cyber ecosystem within Victoria and its future direction. A key question that will be asked is What is Possible?
SPEAKERS
Professor Matt Warren - Moderator
Professor Warren is the Director of the RMIT Centre of Cyber Security Research and Innovation and a Professor of Cyber Security at RMIT University, Australia. He is a researcher in the areas of Cyber Security and Computer Ethics. He has authored and co-authored over 300 books, book chapters, journal papers and conference papers. He has received numerous grants and awards from national and international funding bodies, such as AustCyber, Australian Research Council (ARC); CyberCRC, Engineering Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) in the UK; National Research Foundation in South Africa and the European Union.
Matt Salier - Speaker
Matt is the Director of RMIT Activator and the RMIT Cyber Ready Cloud Innovation Centre. He is passionate about helping people and businesses to thrive in a connected digital world. His key interests lie in cyber security innovation, scalable business models, the application of purpose and impact to new venture creation and the power of education delivered through innovative learning strategies.
Kirstin McIntosh - speaker
Kirstin McIntosh is the Head of Partnerships for CyRise, Australia’s cyber security venture accelerator. At CyRise, she works with some of most technically adept and ambitious minds of the cyber security community. Before this, Kirstin worked in Europe and Asia in business development in both the private and public sector for over 23 years. Kirstin holds an MBA from IMD in Switzerland, and a B.Comm from University of Melbourne. She is on the board of Startup Victoria and BSides Melbourne.
Peter Soulsby - Speaker
Peter Soulsby is the Director of NTT’s Security practice in Victoria. In his role, Peter is responsible for leading, managing and implementing a consistent and sustainable Cyber Security practice that supports NTT Australia’s overall business strategy. This includes business and practice development, and product management functions with a view to accelerating the growth and success of the Cyber Security practice in Australia.
Toby Motoi - speaker
Sector Strategy Manager – Digital Economy, Victorian Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions
Toby brings a wealth of experience across economic development, having worked as an Economic development advisor for 15+ years across government and commercial sectors in Australia, UK, and New Zealand.
