Event description

This online workshop about open employment is for families of children with intellectual disability of high school age. It aims to provide the information you need to ensure your teenager gets good school-to-work transition planning and other activities that can help them work towards open employment.

In this workshop you will:

  • Learn about open employment – what it is, and the possibilities and options that exist for people with intellectual disability
  • Understand school to work transition planning
  • Learn what works to help with transition from school to open employment
  • Learn about NDIS employment supports that are available to help with your teenager’s transition from school to work
  • Learn about the Everyone Can Work website and how to find the information you need
  • Feel more confident about your teenager’s transition from school to open employment
