This interactive and collaborative course will teach you the 6 principles of trauma aware and healing informed care, and how this keeps everyone safe.
Course outcomes:
- Understand what trauma is, and how using a trauma aware and healing informed approach impacts care and service delivery
- Recognise how your history and beliefs may impact on care and services you provide
- Explore ways to recognise and respond to behaviours which may indicate a history of trauma
- Know when to communicate and report to support a person’s needs and meet the quality standard requirements
