Event description

Trauma-informed Care in practice:

Strategies for workers in the aged care and disability sectors.

The Human Services Skills Organisation (HSSO), in partnership with Phoenix Australia - Australia’s National Centre of Excellence in Posttraumatic Mental Health, is offering a series of free webinars focused on applying trauma-informed practice to support aged care and disability worker wellbeing.

The webinar series is aimed at raising awareness of the importance of worker mental health and trauma-informed care and providing access to helpful information and supporting resources for those working in the aged care and disability sectors. The second webinar in the series, Trauma-informed Care in practice: strategies for workers in the aged care and disability sectors, will explore the principles and benefits of trauma-informed practice and provide practical examples of its application. Our expert panellists will also share insights into the impacts of trauma on service users, and why and how you would gather a trauma-informed history. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to the discussion during the panellist Q&A at the end of the webinar.

Who should participate?

The webinar is designed for managers, leaders and staff in the aged care and disability sectors.
