Event description

Trauma Informed Practice - on and off the mat

Professional Development in Trauma Informed Care | 100-hour Yoga Teacher Training

Registration:

Trauma Sensitive Yoga West

*Please note registration closes Sunday October 26, 2025 at 11:59 pm MT

Training Overview:

Together, we integrate a trauma informed lens and learn how trauma from the micro to the macro - the interpersonal to systemic trauma - impacts the nervous system. Explore how mindful movement and land-based practices support the optimal expression of health through reducing harm and working towards social justice.  We will foster an authentic relationship with self, others, and the natural world.

This requires a broad and somatically grounded conversation - come engage with practices that support personal, interpersonal, and collective healing.

***Includes 20hr Trauma Center-Trauma Sensitive Yoga Foundational Training (the original trauma sensitive yoga training) that offers Yoga Alliance and the International Association of Yoga Therapists continuing education credits and is a prerequisite for the 300hr Certification with the Center for Trauma and Embodiment.

Guiding Principles Informing the Learning Process:

To sustain the integrity of our group learning journey and container of collective care, your presence and experience is valued and requested in the live sessions.

Self-Care Priorities:

Please prioritize a plan for self-care throughout the duration of the six modules. This is not a process-based training but one that focuses on skill development. The training can be demanding and there is the possibility of being activated by the content within the videos or in live discussions. It can be useful to have personal and/or professional supports in place, in addition to ensuring there is time and space for integration of the material, whether in nature, with loved ones, or some quiet, alone time. When attending the live sessions, please come prepared with what tools and resources might support some ease and comfort for your nervous system.
