Event description
with Amma Thanasanti
3 class series / Drop-ins Welcome!
- Tuesday February 25, 6 – 7:30 pm
- Tuesday March 4, 6 – 7:30 pm
- Saturday March 8, 1 – 4 pm
This class will use the Satipatthana Sutta as a guide to learn the Buddha’s teachings on the Four Foundations of Mindfulness and apply trauma-informed principles to these instructions.
This Sutta is highly regarded in all of the 10,000 of the Buddha’s discourses because it contains a complete set of teachings designed for freedom. As extensive and liberating as the Four Foundations’ teachings are, when trauma is present, it can interfere with putting the teachings into practice.
The Tuesday classes will be 90 minutes; The Saturday class will be 3 hours and include a break.
Each class will contain guided meditation, a Dharma talk, and discussion.
Schedule
- February 25 - The Body
- March 4 - Vedana, Emotions, &Hindrances

This class is open to all meditators, regardless of their experience. We will provide a safe and supportive space to explore these topics.
