Event description

Historically, ABA services have focused on behavior change through evidence-based practices, but incorporating a trauma-responsive framework into service delivery is now becoming standardized in our approach to treatment. This is even more true for individuals who have a history of trauma. This presentation is designed to help behavior analysts gain a deeper understanding of trauma responsiveness and its integration into ABA services.

1.         Participants will explore key concepts in trauma-informed care

2.            Participants will be able to identify how to embed  trauma-responsive practices into assessment, intervention, and behavior support planning

3.            Participants will explore ways to reduce risk of retraumatization while creating supportive environments
