This is a 20 hour in-person Workshop:
Workshop delivered by Joan Greaves and supported by Jen Holmes Beamer, TCTSY-F in Nelson who will facilitate TC-TSY sessions during the weekend.
An exciting learning experience including both pre-recorded and in-person learning for yoga teachers, therapists and health professionals.
You will receive:
- Access to pre-reading/self-study from the resources page at www.traumasensitiveyoga.com
- PowerPoint slides, written resources and links
- Over 6 hours of pre-recorded pre and mid-workshop content including TC-TSY practice videos from TC-TSY Trainers and Supervisors and training videos from David Emerson and Jenn Turner
- 14 hours in-person workshop delivered over 2 days (approximately 9.00 am to 5.30 pm each day)

The payment scale is based on your self-determined access to resources, privilege, social capital, and your current financial situation due to the global pandemic

This workshop is facilitated by TCTSY, JRI Licensed Trainer, Joan Greaves TCTSY-Facilitator, Trainer and Mentor. Registered ACC accredited Psychotherapist and Registered Yoga Teacher. Joan is part of Center of Trauma & Embodiment at JRI, Yoga Program, and therefore accredited by JRI & the Director of the Center for Trauma & Embodiment at JRI David Emerson.
PLEASE NOTE:
THIS WORKSHOP SATISFIES ONE OF THE PREREQUISITES TO APPLY FOR THE 300-HOUR TRAUMA CENTER TRAUMA-SENSITIVE YOGA (TCTSY) CERTIFICATION PROGRAM HELD ANNUALLY LIVE ONLINE AND PRE-RECORDED ONLINE FROM SEPTEMBER TO APRIL.
THIS 20HR WORKSHOP PROVIDES IAYT AND YA MEMBERS CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS OF 18HRS AND 20HRS RESPECTIVELY AND CREDITS MAY ALSO BE AVAILABLE WITH OTHER PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION BODIES.
THIS WORKSHOP IS SOLELY FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND IS NOT A CERTIFICATE PROGRAM - TO BE CERTIFIED IN TCTSY COMPLETION OF THE 300HR TCTSY CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED.
THIS WORKSHOP IS NOT INTENDED AS AN INTERVENTION FOR THOSE WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED TRAUMA. TALKING ABOUT TRAUMA, EVEN IN THE CONTEXT OF A PROFESSIONAL TRAINING CAN BE TRIGGERING/OVERWHELMING.
Cancellation Policy
Full Refunds (less a 10% administration fee) are available 30 days prior to the start of the workshop
Refunds are NOT available within 2 weeks of the start of the workshop.
A transfer to an alternative existing scheduled workshop hosted by Joan Greaves may be available up to 2 weeks prior to the start of the workshop. Transfers are not usually available within 2 weeks of the workshop start date.
All transfers will incur a 10% administration fee.
