GENRE: INDIE FOLK/ROOTS

THE ARTISTS

TRAV COLLINS
is an Adelaide based singer- songwriter/ multi-instrumentalist. He has been playing shows and street performing all over the country since 2016. Trav plays a 12 string acoustic guitar plugged into an array of effects pedals and a tube amp which he creates unique roots/ folk style cinematic soundscapes with. The didgeridoo, banjo, harmonica and lap steel guitar also make appearances during his live set making his sound very expansive for a single person on stage. His lyrics and stories are from experiences in his life both beautiful and heartbreaking, his vocals reflect tones of sincerity and truth in each word. Trav is currently releasing singles every so often with the latest being "Shoes".

CHRIS CAVILL is more than just a singer/songwriter; he's a storyteller, weaving tales of love, loss, and profound gratitude for family. With a writing style that is refreshingly honest, Chris captivates audiences with his heartfelt compositions that resonate deeply with listeners.

Having honed his craft over many years, Chris has emerged as a seasoned musician whose recent achievements mark the pinnacle of his career. In the past 12 months alone he has graced prestigious stages, including appearances at the Yackandandah Folk Festival, Cygnet Folk Festival, Goodness Me Festival, and Penola Music Gathering. Notably, Chris had the honour of supporting acclaimed artist Kim Churchill, a collaboration that further solidified his standing in the folk music scene.

One of the most distinctive aspects of Chris's performances is the inclusion of his son, Jesse, a budding talent at just 11 years old. When Jesse joins his father on stage, their synergy is nothing short of magical. Their collaborative performances leave audiences mesmerised and enchanted.

In 2021, Chris released a special and significant album titled Lionheart. This deeply personal album serves as a dedication to his father, who passed away in 2017 after a courageous 28-year battle with MS. Through Lionheart, Chris pays homage to his father's strength and resilience, infusing each track with raw emotion and heartfelt tributes. The album stands as a testament to his ability to channel personal experiences into poignant musical narratives that resonate with audiences on a profound level.

This will be Chris' second time playing at Nowa Nowa Hall and we cant wait to have him back!
