Travis Jenkins Trio

Travis is a prominent multi-instrumentalist, composer and arranger from Meanjin/Brisbane, specialising in both guitar and piano with a strong focus on jazz and other vehicles for improvisation.

Taking inspiration from the likes of Jim Hall, Bill Frisell, Mark Ribot, Trey Spruance and Ernest Ranglin, his preferred approach to the guitar embraces the spirit of improvisation while often extending beyond what might be considered a typical jazz guitar sound.

Returning to the flexibility and openness of the trio format (joined by Nick Quigley on bass and Joshua Batka on drums), he will be presenting a back catalogue of his original compositions.
