Event description

Profiling the Landscape: 3 day/4 night Day Art Retreat

Richard Klekociuk’s drawings reflect his love and respect for the Tasmanian landscape through realism and abstraction. In this art retreat Richard will guide you through a Colour Therapy session to deepen your awareness of nature.

This three-day coloured pencil workshop and retreat caters for all levels of art experience. The experience seeks to raise your awareness of the importance of forest floors in the landscape, while at the same time revealing the role of colour as both a personal and emotional response to what we see, not only in the landscape, but our own lives. You will explore the broad range of materials on offer, experience a unique session of colour therapy, a forest walk, ‘subject’ gathering, the creation of 4 coloured pencil artworks and discover how to draw ‘silence’.

Enjoy the benefits of colour therapy working with the highest quality coloured pencils in a peaceful, calming environment. Walk amongst the trees, explore the forest floor, watch the river as it gently passes by. Enjoy the fresh air, the (almost) pervading silence and the art!
